After an incredible career spanning more than four decades, we announce the retirement of Dr. Richard Talkington with deep gratitude and admiration.
Dr. Talkington began his optometric journey in 1978 after earning his degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. He established his own private practice in Franklin, New Hampshire, where he spent over 30 years providing dedicated, compassionate eye care to his community. His commitment to his patients and his profession built lasting relationships and a legacy of trust that will not be forgotten.
In the fall of 2015, Dr. Talkington joined Laconia Eye & Laser Center, allowing him to expand the level of care he could offer by incorporating advanced technology and a broader range of services for his patients. His presence has been a valued part of our team, and his experience, kindness, and clinical excellence have made a lasting impact on both patients and colleagues alike.
Throughout his career, Dr. Talkington has been known not only for his clinical expertise but also for his genuine care, integrity, and dedication to improving the lives of those he served.
As he enters this well-deserved chapter of retirement, we extend our heartfelt thanks for his many years of service and wish him happiness, health, and fulfillment in the years ahead.
