Dr. Catherine Vishton earned a bachelor’s degree in 2008 in bioengineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. She was employed by Schepens Eye Research Institute (Affiliate Institute of Harvard Medical School Department of Ophthalmology) as a background researcher investigating low vision and perception. She soon realized her passion for patient care and changed trajectory from research to clinical care and pursued her Doctorate of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she received her doctorate degree in optometry in May 2013. She started her clinical work in Boston. Dr.Vishton practices full scope optometry fitting specialty contact lenses (hybrid, scleral), addressing functional vision challenges, and diseases including glaucoma(NH certified), macular degeneration through dry eye syndrome. Dr. Vishton moved to Stowe, VT shortly after having her first child, she practiced there for six years. Dr.Vishton joined Laconia Eye Associates in January 2020 in order to be closer to her extended family. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
